The news that hunters will soon have expanded access to Kosciuszko National Park is being supported by Minister for the Environment Robyn Parker.
She says that National Parks officers undertake pest control activities regularly currently, and that the new plan will assist them in this.
The move was made as part of a deal between the Shooters Party and the O'Farrell government in exchange for the Shooter's support of the sale of state-owned electricity assets.
Minister Parker says that's just the nature of politics, sometimes.
