Local government promises all outdoor activities, from bushwalking to mountain-biking and sight-seeing, are set to see a boost due to a $100,000 grant.

Tourism Snowy Mountains have received the funding from the NSW Government's Regional Tourism Fund to help deliver increased overnight visitation outside the peak holiday period.

Member for Monaro John Barilaro says the government looks forward to highlighting some of the most popular attractions the Snowy Mountains have to offer.

He also says the plan is to bring as many visitors as possible into local hotels, restaurants, shops and to other attractions.

The Snowy Mountains last summer drew 147,000 domestic overnight visitors, who spent $138 million in the region.
